For those of you who don't know, Kevin is a gardening fanatic. He practically grabs vegetable scraps out of my hand so he can put them in the compost. He has created what he calls "the nursery"-- all the plants from our yard that he split apart and put into pots for future use. And he is attemping to grow an avocado tree from a pit, which we recently heard ridiculed as a "kindergarden experiment" and got a good chuckle. I think this picture of him standing next to our recently planted Sequoia captures his feelings about gardening perfectly.
